In Linden, New Jersey, police arrested two men who were performing dental work without a valid dentistry license. The arrest comes after a woman reported that after several visits to the fraudulent dentists, she obtained a very severe oral infection. She claimed to pay them $1,000. According to law enforcement, there were other victims as well and all of them went to these fake dentists because they were undocumented immigrants that did not have any dental insurance.
These two fraudulent dentists face up to five years in prison each if they are convicted of the unlawful practice of dentistry. In addition to the dental tools that were found in the residences where the fraudulent dentists performed work, local law enforcement also found that they had more than $20,000.
