Memorial Day Weekend is upon us, which means that people from near and far will be headed down the shore. As much fun as this weekend is, it is important that people take safety precautions and do not drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. There are so many other options that allow individuals to avoid drunk driving such as Uber, Lyft, taxi services, or simply choosing a designated driver. The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting sobriety checkpoints to look for drivers who are under the influence of either drugs or alcohol.

The Task Force will screen drivers from 10 p.m. on Friday night through 2 a.m. on Saturday. These particular checkpoints will be set up along Newman Springs Road in Red Bank, New Jersey. In addition to the checkpoints in Red Bank, New Jersey State Police will be conducting other checkpoints around Neptune and Belmar. New Jersey State Police are asking people that see others driving dangerously to dial #77 to provide information about the driver in an effort to keep our roads safe.

New Jersey takes driving under the influence very seriously and aims to keep drunk drivers off the roads as effectively as possible. Be sure not to drink and drive this weekend. However, if you do find yourself with DUI charges, contact our firm for quality legal representation.
